Firefighter Cadet Program

If you are between the ages of 16 to 21 years of age and want to learn more about the fire service, the cadet program may be for you! Learning history, methods, procedure and hands on skills are presented. Our district has had many of our past cadet students move up and become firefighter and EMT’s. Some of the topics that are covered are:

 

                        Department Structure                              First Aid

 

                               CPR Fire Behavior                     Vehicle Types and Equipment

 

                             Building Construction                              Ventilation

 

                           Radio Communications                                Ladders

 

                              Water Systems                                   Public Education

Requirements for Cadet Program

 

16 to 21 years of age

 

Open to Men and Women

 

Maintain “C” Average in School

 

Recommendation from Guidance Department

 

Parents Approval

 

 

Meetings:
